• Motorcycle damage, loss or recovery costs for which the rider is responsible under the rental agreement
• Optional activities, room upgrades and services not specifically listed as included

Rider Preparation & Important Notes

• A valid motorcycle driving licence and any legally required International Driving Permit (IDP) must be carried while riding. Riders are responsible for confirming that their licence and IDP are valid for riding in Laos.
• Each rider must have suitable travel and medical insurance that specifically covers motorcycle riding and, where applicable, off-road riding, emergency treatment, evacuation and repatriation.
• Riders must wear a helmet and appropriate protective riding gear and follow the tour leader's safety instructions at all times.
• Do not ride under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance that may impair safe riding.
• All riders must obey Lao traffic laws, police instructions and local road rules. Traffic fines and penalties caused by the rider are the rider's responsibility.
• Off-road motorcycle touring involves inherent risks, including falls, changing road surfaces, river crossings, weather, animals, traffic and remote-area conditions. Ride within your own ability and inform the guide immediately if you are uncomfortable with a section.
• The itinerary, route, accommodation or scheduled activities may be changed when necessary because of weather, road conditions, safety concerns, government restrictions or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
• Riders must disclose any medical condition, medication, allergy or physical limitation that could affect safe participation before the tour begins.
• Inspect the motorcycle at handover and promptly report any accident, damage, loss, breakdown or mechanical problem. Responsibility for motorcycle damage or loss is determined under the applicable rental agreement.
• Keep your passport, money, electronics and other personal belongings secure. NIKILAO recommends carrying only essential valuables during riding.
• Riders may be asked to sign the applicable rental agreement, safety acknowledgement and liability waiver before motorcycle handover or tour departure.
